I met with Kevin on Sunday for a couple hours and we discussed plans for PortageGUI and did some coding. We are going to work on all the unresolved bugs from last semester. Then we are going to continue adding features we didn't have time to finish last semester.

This week I will be working on the code for the tree in the install/search window. I need to make the info part of the window display info when the user is browsing the tree. I will also be working on making the install button work with the tree. I haven't been able to do much coding yet because I need the cosi-lab computer to test my code and the computer I was using was synced. So I don't have root access anymore. I forgot to delete the cron-job that syncs the computer. Mike is helping me take care of the problem.

I am discontinuing my subscription to the gentoo-security list because there isn't enough traffic which I suppose is a good thing. Instead I am going to be following the kernel newbies mailing list. I am more interested in this list and I think I will learn a lot more on this list. I will also be watching their IRC channel.
